My name is Andrew Pickles and I am a Wildlife and Nature Enthusiast. My main subject is Birds and Bird Ringing, but enjoy anything to do with Nature. This blog is to showcase some of the wonderful animals and birds within Southern Africa and especially in my home area of Southern Kwazulu Natal. I am currently working on Barn Swallow migration between my home patch of Umzumbe and Europe, with a possible link to Chernobyl, news of this can be obtained on my website listed under the links.

Drakensberg Mountains Trip 20th to 27th April 2012

It was time to spend a week away and a trip to the mountains was long overdue, here are a few of the 600+ photos that I took during the week.
